11th Annual Grand Prix Plein Air Challenge

More Information:

In this traditional Plein Air painting competition, painters must originate, paint, complete and frame a painting that has been created outdoors in just four hours.

Works will be judged and prizes, donated by Opus Art Supplies, will be awarded.

The top 12 artists will be invited to proceed to the British Pacific Properties Paint on the Mountain Plein Air Challenge on Sunday, August 5th.

Cost includes morning coffee and muffins, and a wine & cheese reception after the judging.

Notes: All mediums.accepted. For watercolour: provide a mat board or frame for your work. No glass please. For Oil or Acrylics on board, please provide a frame. Maximum size should be 16″ x 20″ including frame. For canvas, no frame required but it should look finished. Be on site by 9:30 for set-up, no late arrivals accepted.
