William Rogers – Figure in the Landscape with Oils

Date: September 12 to 14, 2104

Location: Bear Valley Highlands in the Okanagan near Vernon.

Cost: $390

Description:

This workshop will focus on including figures into your landscapes in a believable way. It will start with some practical theory on the topic and develop into practicing figures in oil paint or other opaque media, then incorporating these figures into the landscape as part of the composition. The idea is to have a landscape with figures rather than a portrait, so gesture drawing will be emphasized to help achieve a natural, unposed look in the work. The artist will demonstrate and have a model to use for the demonstrations and class work. There will be lots of individual help and constructive critiques to help your work improve to a new level
