Page Samis is a local artist with Signature Status of the Pastel Society of Canada. She is a professional pastel artist and represents Canada in many juried international exhibits around the world.
Recently she has turned her attention in pursuit of a personal vision by plein air painting in pastel. This new connection is her corner stone of textures, creation and harmonies of light. The energy, intensity of both figurative and landscapes are a result of her passion of direct study from life.

Nestled 300 ft from the lake shore, we have access to breathtaking scenery right at the door step. Each day, we will explore a different location along the lake.
Through a series of exercises we will explore plein-air painting techniques that enable us to capture the important elements of a landscape in a short period of time. While doing so we will learn to create paintings with impact by focusing on value sketches and design.
